Buying a battery for Dad's tools? Start with the label on his current battery and check these three details.

Confirm the Brand

Read the brand name on the current battery or tool. The replacement battery must be made for that brand.

Examples: Makita, Milwaukee, DeWalt, Ryobi, Bosch & AEG

Match the Voltage

Check the voltage printed on the old battery and match it exactly. For example, an 18V tool needs an 18V battery.

Look for: 12V, 18V, 20V, 40V or 54V

Choose the Capacity

Once the brand, voltage and battery shape match, choose the Ah capacity that suits how Dad uses his tools.
